Field Railroad Diesel Loco, JONNY®





Field railroads were used the world over to haul freight in factories and mines, on construction sites and farms. Even though their heyday has passed, the small lines still operate in many places.
This FRR diesel loco can pull the many field railroad cars in the LGB program, and using them, you can replicate the fascination of these hard working lines. This is the first LGB field railway loco with an “onboard” MTS decoder, allowing you to easily enjoy this little loco on both traditional analog and digital MTS layouts.


The Prototype
Around the world, light-duty railways transport goods at factories, farms, mines and construction sites. These “field” railways gained popularity in the late 1800s, and today, these little railways are still employed for big jobs, like the building of the Channel Tunnel. Historic field railways survive in museums and parks.
