Covered hoppers are used to transport moisture-sensitive bulk materials, and with large roof hatches and bottom unloading flaps, modern covered hoppers like this one are designed for fast loading and unloading. This LGB model lets you model the massive trains that carry grains from Canada’s Alberta province, and of course, it has opening roof hatches and unloading flaps also.
