Yes, you can add digital sound to your LGB loco! This advanced unit includes electronics, a volume control and a speaker all in one, compact box (60 x 68 x 23 mm). It's small enough to fit easily into most LGB freight and passenger cars or in the cab of many LGB locos. Just connect two wires to track power or to a loco multi-purpose socket, and you're ready to enjoy digital LGB sound. This unit offers an authentic steam chuff sound. With the LGB Multi-Train System, you can remotely trigger additional sounds like bell, whistle, brake sounds and conductor announcement. Like all LGB Sound Units, this unit is equipped with an “onboard” Multi-Train System decoder and does not require an additional decoder for MTS operation. For analog operation, add the LGB 65011 Sound Unit Power Storage to enjoy the standing sounds. The LGB 65012 Mogul Sound Unit Function Trigger can be added and adapted to many installations to activate bell and whistle sounds via track magnets. Hint: LGB Sound Units are engineered for easy, do-it-yourself installation in a car or loco cab. LGB factory service stations will not install these units.
