RhB Electric Loco, Ge 2/4, 212

This venerable loco began its long life as Number 206, one of seven “boxcab” locos purchased by the Rhätische Bahn in 1913. It was reconstructed in 1927 after an incident in the Magnacun Tunnel. In 1943, the RhB replaced the original box body with a center cab for improved visibility, hence the name “flatiron.” Renumbered 212, it went back to the shop for upgrades in both 1968 and 1986. Then, in 1993, it was extensively serviced.
Today, this historic loco is still at work, and you can put it to work for you with this authentic LGB model, which features the prototype’s current RhB colors. The exposed drive is fully operational … and ready for digital operation with a standard, onboard Multi-Train System decoder.
