SP® Drover's Caboose

During the Depression, it was necessary to combine passenger accommodations, less-than-carload freight and the functions of a caboose in one car. The few passengers who would put up with all of this - riding at the end of a jerky freight train that stopped at every siding - were mostly cattle herders, hence the nickname “Drover's Caboose.” Metal wheels with ball bearings and integrated power pick-ups. Lighted interior and marker lamps.
