In 1890, German businessmen and joined together with America’s Standard Oil to form “Deutsch-Amerikanische Petroleum-Gesellschaft” (DAPG), which became “ESSO” in 1950. That name lives on these updated versions of the classic LGB ESSO tank car, last seen in 1994. Each car in the set is numbered individually. The tanks can be filled and emptied. Metal wheels.
