Steam Locos

21892
SV Mallet Steam Loco, 251, Sound

For the Uintah Railway, Baldwin built two huge Mallet steam locomotives. After the Uintah was abandoned, the locos were sold to the Sumpter Valley Railway in Oregon, where they were equipped with tenders. With its two powered gearboxes, this impressive LGB model of No. 251 is ready to pull the longest trains. Plus, you’ll hear the prototypical sounds of a hard-working steam locomotive, including steam chuffs, whistle, bell, air pump and many more. All the sounds are actual recordings of a prototype steam locomotive. With the Multi-Train System, you can control these and more sounds anywhere on your layout.
