DR High-Side Gondola, Brown





Small, high-sided gondolas are used on the narrow-gauge lines of the DR for delivering bulk loads. Coal was transported in these cars on all the lines, but on the Harzquerbahn, they were also used to carry fluorite. The tapered end walls are typical of these cars, and this LGB model is a faithful replica of these frequently found cars.
